DAWNE B MECHLINSKI - “MS DAWNE”

CREATIVE SPIRIT MUSIC STUDIO

Dawne B Mechlinski brings over 40 years of exceptional musical
experience to her students and performances – as a talented pianist,
organist, vocalist, passionate instructor and workshop presenter. Her
wide range of musical talent is evidenced in everything she does – from
Carnegie Hall, to the Manhattan Philharmonic, to long time former Director of Music for local St. Mark’s Church, Dawne’s career has included
experiences from the magnificent to the humble.

A piano student since the age of 5 and professional organist since the
age of 12, Ms. Dawne’s holistic approach is able to bring forth deep and
heartfelt performances from her students, guiding and encouraging each
individual to strive to bring their greatest talent to fruition.
​
Owner and operator of Creative Spirit Music Studio (DBM Music Studio),
Ms. Dawne is proud to be celebrating 30 successful years. Offering
diversified learning for every level, age and background, the studio now
proudly offers ZOOM lessons nationwide which has become a fun and
a creative way to learn during the most challenging of times!

A passionate teacher and mentor, Ms. Dawne cultivates in each
student an understanding of their individual personal and musical goals
gently guiding each unique student through limitations and challenges.
Known amongst her colleagues to have immense patience, Ms. Dawne
brings to her student's artistic personae and performance efficiency
imparting all the necessary tools and skills. Believing that music allows
each of us to take risks and be creative in problem-solving, students are
able to achieve the upper limits of their potential. Remember: “life is not
all about music, but music is all about life.”

with choir direction -
Soloist and accompanist for internationally acclaimed Monmouth

Numerous retirement facilities and churches in the tri-state area
including Holy Angels Church, Hamilton, NJ. where she held the
position of Director of Music/Organist for 18 years and St
Peter’s Church, Pt Pleasant Bch where she began as a 7th grader
accompanying weekly Sunday masses and school ensembles. -
Director of Music and Sacred Liturgy for St. Mark’s Church, where
she directed and accompanied a very vibrant music ministry with 5
choirs, in Sea Girt, NJ for 14 years. -
Member of the MTNA (Music Teachers National and local
Associations), AGO (American Guild of Organists), NATS (National
Association of Teachers of Singing), NPM (National Pastoral
Musicians Associations where she is a DMMD member – Direction
of Music Ministries Division full-time member) -
Currently Director of Music and Worship Arts for Church in Brielle, Brielle NJ
